Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Not Busy websites, accounts, the Not Busy Check and Read, Field Kit resources, Not Busy Notes, digital content, and any other services that Christopher Lee operating as Not Busy makes available (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using the Services, creating an account, requesting a resource, or making a purchase if paid Services become available, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.

Not Busy provides educational content, self-reflection tools, prompts, resources, and operating-system-style experiences intended to support clearer decisions and more sustainable ambition.

Not Busy is not medical, mental-health, legal, financial, tax, employment, or other regulated professional advice. It does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any condition. A Not Busy Read or AI-assisted result is an operating self-check and a prompt for reflection—not a clinical assessment, personality verdict, or guaranteed outcome.

You remain responsible for your decisions, work, health, relationships, finances, and use of any suggestion, tool, or AI-generated output. Seek an appropriately qualified professional where you need professional advice or urgent support.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Services unless legally valid permission has been obtained where required. You must provide accurate information, safeguard your account access, and notify us promptly if you believe your account has been used without authorization.

You may not create an account using false information, share access credentials, or use another person’s account without permission.

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect the Services, users, security, legal rights, or compliance obligations.

The Not Busy Check is designed to help you reflect on current work/life pressure, non-negotiables, capacity, decisions, and boundaries. It may present a temporary “current mode,” such as The Full Plate or The Open Loop. These labels are working descriptions of current friction only; they are not fixed identities, diagnoses, rankings, or predictions.

AI-generated content may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your circumstances. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, availability, or usefulness of any generated output. You should exercise judgment before acting on it.

Do not submit another person’s confidential information or sensitive information that you do not have the right to provide.

We may offer free resources, free member access, beta features, or early-access features. We may change, pause, improve, or discontinue these features where reasonably necessary. Free access does not create an entitlement to future functionality, pricing, or availability.

You may not use the Services to:

• break the law or infringe another person’s rights;
• submit malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with service operation, or bypass security controls;
• scrape, reverse engineer, copy, or systematically extract the Services except where applicable law expressly permits it;
• impersonate another person, misrepresent your identity, or submit information you are not authorized to provide;
• harass, abuse, threaten, or harm another person;
• use an AI output or share feature in a misleading, discriminatory, unlawful, or harmful way;
• reproduce, resell, sublicense, or distribute paid or free Not Busy materials beyond the permissions explicitly given to you.

The Not Busy name, logo, visual identity, software, text, prompts, resources, designs, and other materials are owned by Christopher Lee or used with permission and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, resell, sublicense, publish, distribute, share account access, remove proprietary notices, or use Not Busy materials to build a competing product or service without written permission.

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a limited right to host, process, and use it only as reasonably needed to provide, secure, and improve the Services, as described in the Privacy Policy.

If you send feedback, ideas, or suggestions, you allow us to use them without compensation or obligation. We will not publicly attribute private feedback, Check responses, or messages to you without your permission.

Creating a Not Busy account does not subscribe you to Not Busy Notes. Newsletter marketing requires a separate opt-in, and you may unsubscribe at any time without losing access to non-marketing account features.

Transactional communications, such as sign-in codes, requested resource delivery, service notices, and opted-in review reminders, may be sent as needed to provide the Services.

The Services may connect to or link to third-party services including Google, Beehiiv, ManyChat, social platforms, OpenRouter, AI model providers, payment providers, and external websites. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.

Not Busy does not currently offer paid digital products, subscriptions, coaching, or advisory services under these Terms. If paid Services launch, the applicable product page and checkout will state the price, currency, billing frequency, included content, access period, cancellation process, and any offer-specific refund policy before purchase.

Before accepting payment, Not Busy will publish updated paid-service terms and a clear refund/cancellation policy, and will update these Terms if needed for the operating entity, payment provider, and applicable consumer requirements.

Nothing in future paid-service terms will limit rights that cannot legally be excluded.

The Services are provided on an “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim warranties not expressly stated in these Terms, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at all times, or that any result, resource, decision, or AI output will meet your requirements or produce a particular outcome.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Christopher Lee and Not Busy will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive losses, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising out of or related to the Services.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for a claim relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us for the relevant Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) HKD 100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, fraud, security risk, legal requirement, or discontinuation of a Service. Where reasonable, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue a Service as Not Busy evolves. If a material change affects an active paid Service in the future, we will provide notice and any remedy required by applicable law or stated in the applicable offer terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised effective date and give additional notice where appropriate. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms, except where applicable law requires a different process.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, except where mandatory consumer-protection law requires otherwise. Courts of Hong Kong will have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to rights you may have under mandatory law.
